We had a wonderful time in Mississippi visiting with Nanny. We also got to see Randy's aunt and uncle and his family. Rayme has a little girl, Elise, who will be two May 1st. She was so cute with Wesley! It was great to be able to get away from home for a bit. It was a nice change of pace. Wesley did fantastic on the plane rides. We were able to get him an extra seat for free on three of the four flights so we could use his car seat. He slept most of the way on the flight from here to Atlanta, but then he was awake for the flight from Atlanta to Mississippi. We made sure we had bottles available for him for take-off and landing, and he did just fine. We weren't sure if we were going to make it all the way home on our return flights. We were delayed in Mississippi and we were concerned we would not be able to leave on time in Atlanta. Thankfully, we made it on time to our flight. The only problem we had was that our luggage did not make it home!
The weather was okay when we were down there. It rained for most of the time, but it was about 30-40 degrees warmer than Minnesota, so it was nice. We spent most of the time just being lazy and watching TV. We took a walk outside one day and found a four leaf clover for Wesley. I was surprised by a couple of lizards that were hiding by the shed! Randy and I took a ride on Nanny's John Deere Gator around her property and left Wes with his Grandma for a bit. Randy was excited to take a ride on that since he has been wanting one of them for a while.
We are starting swimming lessons this week for Wesley. It will be fun to get him in the pool since he loves his baths so much! It lasts for about 6 weeks and ends sometime in May. We thought it would be best to get him acquainted with the water before we go out to the beach this summer.
Rayme and Roy will be in from Ohio for Easter in a couple of weeks and we will be visiting with them while they are here. Randy is looking forward to getting some time off work to get started on his garden. He already has some seeds starting under his grow lights in the basement. Cross your fingers for us that the garden turns out great!
